Feeling Nostalgic

So the other night I was watching 100 greatest songs of the 90's on VH1.  It brought back a lot of memories.  Most of my high school memories are attached to music.  I have a terrible memory.  I didn't used to.  I blame it on having babies.  But hearing some of those songs made me remember fun times, stupid times, and just left me feeling nostalgic.  I hosted a bunco and it was a music theme.  I asked everyone who their favorite band was in high school.  I had to think really hard but I came up with Weezer.  What is your favorite band/song from high school?  Any funWeezer memories you would like to share?  Here are a few of my favorite songs I had forgotten about: Linger by the Cranberries, Stay by Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories, One Week by Bearnaked Ladies, Two Princes by Spin Doctors, Hey Jealousy by Gin Blossoms, Wonderwall by Oasis, oh and sooo many more!  Looks like I will be listening to 1990's music on Pandora for a while!

Oh memories all those songs bring back! It feels like just yesterday that I was a kid. But yet, it feels like I've always been married and a mom. Life is wonderfully weird!

There are so many songs that make me think of you and how much fun we've had:) Rockin' out in the Celebrity or the Cadillac(or the big blue van). Remember that random mixed Cd we got at Hardrock Cafe, we listened to that on the way to school for, like a month:)
Some of my favorites were songs & bands that I thought only WE listened to and knew about like They Might Be Giants & ABBA! "Whistling in the dark"!TMBG rocks!!!!
Love you linds. I 'm so happy I have hundreds & thousands of wonderful, fun memories with you. I agree with Nikki about old songs. "Vivid" is the perfect word. Over time events begin to fade and one song(or smell or even color) can bring it back so strong.

Ah yes, high school was the best time for music. It's funny to me that all of the songs you mentioned were songs that I loved, too. I feel so much older for some reason but I guess I'm really not. The other night on the FUSE channel they had a '95 reunion music show, it was great because that was the year I graduated and it was fun to hear some of that music again. I listened to a lot of these guys: Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morrisette, Silverchair, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Offspring. Some great songs I loved: Loser by Beck, What Might've Been by Little Texas, I Would Do Anything for Love by Meatloaf and so much more!!!

I laughed at this post of your because I remember playing music SUPER loud at your home. I always loved at your dads funeral when you said that he played music loud because I only remember driving with him a couple times but the music was always up. I remeber when Micheal Jacksons album came out and we would play the beginning of black and white so many times and laugh because the kid on it sounded like james. ahha Anyway, Fav 90's tunes. That is a hard question since we are children of the 90's but anything Sarah maclauglin, love weezer, glycerine-bush, down,~311, strong enough~ sheryl crow to name just a few.
