Our Christmas Best

Well you can just call us the Vontrapp (Sound of Music) family this year.  I found these beautiful red curtains at an estate sale and knew just what I wanted to do with it!  There was tons of fabric, a friend of mine used it to make her girls dresses last year!  My talented neighbor came over and helped me make them on Sat, just in time to wear the Sunday before Christmas.

Your talent amazes me. My mom used to do things like this for our family of 7 girls ( and a boy) and I used to wonder how... I think it is a gift you are born with. The desire and ability to be an amazing homemaker and mom. Great Job!

They are beautiful. How fun to have such a great talent. And, of course, you couldn't have more perfect models.

When I saw your sweet little people on Christmas Sunday I actually did wonder where you found such dresses... they are darling beyond and the pics that you took are simply AMAZING! Seriously... is there anything that you don't do well? It could be intimidating you know!!! hahahahah....
Where did you learn to sew? My mother swore bad words at her sewing machine and I was always afraid of it. It was viewed more like a wigi (how do you spell that?) board than a tool for talent! But now days I'm overcoming this phobia and feel like I should purchase a little Bernina myself! Although my visions would be of dresses like these and I'm not so sure they would look like that!
Hey... we're going up to Utah in a few weeks... do you want to hitch a ride and visit Steph? Let me know...

This reminds me of one Easter that my mom made matching shirts and skirts for Aliece, Tara and I and she just cranked them out the day before. I think you should have made Spencer a matching tie:)...Maybe I should have saved the curtains that we took out of this house when we moved here...seriously though, very adorable! Project Runway here you come!

And I think that you we're the best dressed family for Christmas there Ever was!! That Red damask is incredible, and makes up so well! By the way, I picked up one of those curtains at a really fun and cool "Vintage Flea Market" one time. There is always an amazing vendor there who has the greatest stuff. I Love her "Style!" I wonder what she's been collecting lately? What you think? Ready for another one? Might be fun?!
